CBD oil is used for a wide range of wellness needs by people across the world. Most notably, CBD tinctures are an effective method for greater relaxation, which is why you will often see this ingredient in items such as bath bombs, chocolates, and even beverages.
One way to use CBD oil effectively is with CBD tinctures, an alcohol-based extract. While this can be a great way to utilize the natural compounds in CBD, some people can be put off by its bitter taste. This is not new knowledge- tinctures of this kind were used to address conditions such as migraines and epilepsy as far back as the late 1800s.
A great way to get around the taste issue is to simply make your own CBD tinctures. Using a pre-heated oven (240 degrees Fahrenheit or equivalent), spread some broken apart hemp flowers on a baking tray. You should then bake them between 40 minutes to an hour before removing and letting the tray cool for around 15 to 20 minutes.
Next, cover the plants in a high proof alcohol and place them in a closed jar. Shake the jar and then store it in a cool, dark place for 3 to 4 weeks (shaking occasionally during that time). After that, pour into a strainer lined with cheesecloth so that the plant is separated from the tincture. Mark the date on the label and store the tincture in a cool dark place.
In order to address with the bitter taste, you can mix a few drops of your tincture to a drink you prefer such as coffee or hot chocolate, or alternatively, you can add it to boiled water with some honey.
